KMC’s Client are a well-established residential build company specialising in high end houses and apartments.


Due to continual expansion they have several positions they are looking to fill including this Site Manager who will be reporting to the Contracts Manager and be responsible for  Assistant Site Manager, Trainee Site Managers, Labourers, Forklift Driver.


The right person will have the ability to solve issues, execute the role whilst maintaining very high standards and doing so independently.


Scope of Role

Manage the construction process according to the site programme and ensure delivery on time. 


Key Responsibilities & Duties

The majority of your role should be on site overseeing all aspects:


  • Health and Safety checks around site
  • Daily checks on the work being carried out by various trades including enclosed spaces where dust/fumes may be present
  • Effectively manage the deployment of site resources such as labour, plant and materials
  • Provide site staff with clear direction and assist with problem solving
  • Inspect and discuss work being carried out
  • Co-ordinate site activities in accordance with the site programme
  • Adapt site programmes in response to changing circumstances and difficulties
  • Organise customer hand overs and liaise with them regularly


Other duties will include:

  • Monitoring site activity against quality standards, productivity targets and deadlines
  • Ensuring materials are ordered, stored and used in a cost efficient manner
  • Responsible for identifying overspend and potential savings
  • Maintaining tight control of subcontractor time through itemising, programming and authorising as appropriate
  • Communicating the detail of plans to teams, subordinates, services and utilities

  • Full and comprehensive understanding of the construction process
  • Broad understanding of all trades and thorough knowledge of the features of products and services
  • Ability to demonstrate insight and understanding of the wider house building industry
  • Understand the work of other disciplines within the company




  • Confidence to answer a range of technical questions from colleagues, sub-contractors and customers
  • Able to present a credible and professional image to colleagues and customers through the presentation of relevant technical information
  • Excellent IT skills to aid achievement of work objectives
  • Excellent managerial skills and the ability to motivate others
  • Problem solver
  • Self motivated and pro-active
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Able to work at heights




  • You will have worked in the house building industry
  • Experience working to NHBC standards
