Maintenance and Reliability Manager


KMC are happy to be working closely with one of the industry’s most highly regarded Offshore Contractors, offering an opportunity to join them in an integral role as Maintenance and Reliability Manager.

The position is located in France on a Permanent Staff basis


The role:

The position will have oversight of both the Maintenance and Reliability functions, you – along with your team will be responsible for:


· Definition of the maintenance strategy / philosophy for implementation across the fleet.

· Responsibility for the Maintenance Dept budget.

· Development of the Maintenance Plan

· Spare Parts Management oversight

· Technical Support to Materials Control

· You will also have responsibility for Continuous Improvement of Maintenance activities and will ensure that all Fleet and shore bases maintenance plans meet Class / Regulatory requirements.


· Defining and implementing policies, processes and tools to ensure continuous improvement of Units reliability by gathering reliability data and correlating this data into useful information.

· Participating actively at early stage of projects (WIN phase) by playing an active role in the development, review and approval of the RAM Study.

· Responsible for the preparation and issue of analytical recommendation reports on machinery and equipment selections (but also on other aspects e.g. structure, piping…) for systems being proposed to clients, from technical and commercial aspects, based on full Life-Cycle considerations including Costs (LCC), Safety and Environmental aspects.

· Responsible for preparation and maintenance of technical documentation of each Unit. (i.e. modelling information and reliability data)

· Responsible for set-up and maintenance of the Reliability Data Bank.

· Establish relevant budget for the accomplishment of the mission.



· University degree in a relevant Engineering discipline

· 15 years’ experience in offshore industry

· 10 years’ experience in Maintenance & Reliability Engineering

· Good knowledge of company’s products

· Ability to travel internationally including offshore.
